We bid farewell to Betty J. Young in Mount Sterling, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 2, 2025 at the age of 92. Betty touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Blackstone and Francis Davey Blackstone Sr.; her husband Herman Young; her son-in-law Mark Lataster; her grandson Anthony Lataster; and her great grandchild Rheanna.
She is survived by: her children, David A. Young (Betty) and Trudy O. Lataster; her siblings, Patty Frye (Fred), Raymond Blackstone Jr. (Connie) and Terry Blackstone; her grandchildren, Crystal Beers, Ava Stratford, Noah Young (Erica) and Racie Careins (Greg); and her great grandchildren, Karma, Cody, Arrowlynne, Aaron, Jaiden, Nolan and Corbin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Gratiot United Methodist Church (345 South St, Zanesville, OH 43701). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
