He was predeceased by : his parents, Lyman Messecar and Ellen Messecar (Rice); and his wife Ginger Henry. He is survived by : his children, Mark Messecar (Deb) of Fremont, OH, Todd Lyman Messecar (Jackie Larkins) of Green Springs, OH and Jenny Wilbur (Don) of Vickery, OH; and his stepdaughters, Susan Barrick, Lori Welty and Debra Champine (Doug). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
