She was predeceased by : her parents, William Oberer and Ruth Oberer (Cable); her former life partner John Pence; her husband Robert Best; her grandson Kevin Banta; her brother Harold Oberer; and her stepsister Gladys Hindsley.

She is survived by : her daughters, Diana (Steve Banta) and Cathy Pence of Greenville; her granddaughter Cherri Ellis; her great grandchildren, Kenna Jade Wolfe, Noah, Nolan Ellis, Connor and Cooper Price; and her great great grandchild Theo Wolfe.
