She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Newton and Vivian Newton (Davis); her husband George Mawer; her daughter Sandra Cordrey; her son-in-law Paul Cordrey; and her brother Robert Newton.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Allen Cordrey (Barcy) and Connie Hall (Aaron); and her great grandchildren, Connor and Jacob Hall. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
