He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Newell and Pearl Newell; his former wife Mida Maynard Newell; his daughter Deborah Kay Newell; his grandson Christopher Allen White; and his siblings, Bill Newell and Jean Spears.
He is survived by: his daughters, Naomi Ann Newell and Kimberly Pearl Newell (Steve Fields); his wife Jessie Taulbee; his grandchildren, Cassie Robinson, Miranda Vollman (Michael), Steven Bradley White, Eric White (Allie), Gabriel White (Sam), Stephanie Faith Lines and Heather Thorne; his stepchildren, Craig and Michelle Vandivier; and his siblings, Joyce Scarberry (Richard), James Newell (Sandy) and Stephen Newell (Pam). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the South Chapel (1346 S High St, Columbus, OH 43207). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
