He was predeceased by: his parents, John McCoy and Grace McCoy (Love); his children, Karen, Robin and Donald; his siblings, Billy, Pat, Daniel Boone, John, Mary, Caroline and Pancy; and his grandson Joby.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou McCoy; his grandsons, James Wagers and Joseph McCoy (Brandie Presson); his great grandchildren, Kirsten, Ashley, Chealse, Cody, Joby Jr., Eric, Lexi and Jay; and his nieces and nephews, Dallas, Sheila, Lynn, Alesia and Sue.
