He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivy Hayes (Elder) and Arthur Hayes; his sons, Timothy and Barry; and his siblings, William Hayes, Mary Spencer and Beulah Kaiser.
He is survived by: his wife Rosie M. Robinson Hayes; his children, Darlene, Diana Hadden (Hayes), Faye Simpson (Hayes), Alfred, Marcus (Ramona) and Rodney; and his sister-in-law Ruth Williams. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
