He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Tyree and Emma Jean Tyree (Satterfield); his close friend Carol Mawhirter; his daughters, Danyall Handerman (Jim) and Tammy Watts (Shane Gluhm); his grandchildren, Rachelle (Adam), Combs (Womer), Ashley Watts, Brittany Watts and John Watts Jr.; his stepchildren, Chris Taylor (Erica) and Melissa Taylor; his grandchildren, Austin Landrum, Alisa Landrum, Destiny Taylor and Alexis Taylor; and his siblings, Mary Wagers (Fred), Jean Willis (Ron), Chucky Smiddy, Roger Smiddy, Sara Davis Barbara (Smiddy), Rodney Tyree, Brenda Chasteen and Robin Kidwell.
