He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hartman and Balbina Rose Hartman (Nesselhauf); and his sisters, Catherine Beier (Albert), Esther Hanley (John), Mary Beier (Urban) and Ruth Uhl (Alfred).
He is survived by: his wife Mary (Sotak) of Lakeside; his sons, Trent Hartman (Emmy), Thomas Hartman (Susan) and Todd Hartman (Peggy); his grandchildren, Nathan, Becka, Katelyn, Karrie and Clayton; his great grandchildren, Knox, Kensley, Owen and Kyah; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Mary Sotak; and his brothers-in-law, John Sotak and Claude Boyd. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be made to Stein Hospice, Marblehead Lighthouse Historical Society, St. Joseph Church, St. Mary Church, or one's favorite charity.
