It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Meldan Arend (Hicksville, Ohio), born in Defiance, Ohio, who passed away on March 12, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Meldan Arend and Gladys Arend (Shaffer); and his sister Alice Quint. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Herman; his children, Matthew Robert (Kristi), Mark Joseph (Allison), Andrea T. Seibert, Dr. Rita A. Rohrs (Brian) and Laura M. Haverkamp (Michael); and his sisters, Shirley Sholl, Mary Batt and Ruth Ann Coressel. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren.
