He was predeceased by : his parents, Norman Miller and Elizabeth Miller (Nevin); his sisters, Evelyn Hixon, Shelia Jo Penix and Sharon Jenkins; his niece Brittany Lynn Roberts; his nephew Lee Sims; and his cousin Marti Nevin Hudnell.

He is survived by : his sons, Steven M. Miller and Matthew R. Miller; his grandchildren, Devin Michael Miller and Calvin Ryan Miller; his sister Joyce E. Miller; and his close friend Danny Dalton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
