She was predeceased by : her parents, Dillard Davis and Nettie B. Davis (Ford); her husband John M. Sorosiak; and her siblings, Willis Davis and Rosie Mattimore.

She is survived by : her sons, Jamie Sorosiak (Kelly) and Jonathan Sorosiak (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Lance Zywocki, Dakota Sorosiak, Andrew Sorosiak, Jaime Sorosiak, Gabryella Sorosiak, Michael Sorosiak and Tristan Sorosiak; her great grandchild Holden Sorosiak; and her sister Lafern Meadows.

Memorial donations in Sheryl's name may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
