He is survived by: his wife Alice Collett Capers; his stepsons, Terry L. Taggert (Althea) of Waynesburg and Darrell L. Taggert (Mary) of Bethel Park; his siblings, Donald "Dutch" Capers of Hopedale, OH., Gerald Capers of Hopedale, OH. and Shirley Gore (Jerome) of Huntsville, AL.; and his grandchildren, Wayne Thompson and Dereck Gerble.
