It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alan Lemuel MacCracken Jr. of Hudson, Ohio, who passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alan Lemuel, Sr. and Marthena Brewster MacCracken; his sister Jane Evelyn; and his brother-in-law William Kimmel. He is survived by: his son Alan III (Beth); his friends, Vin, Cliff, Bres and Rich; his wife Dr. Mary Jo of Hudson, Ohio; his grandchildren, AJ, Ellie and Tristan of Mendham; his sister Marthena Louise "Marty Lou" Rowe of Lincolnville, Maine; and his siblings-in-law, Dr. Joel Milton Weaver (Barbara) of Westerville, Ohio and Helen Sue Weaver (Steve Beaman) of Charlotte. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rejoice Lutheran Church (7855 Stow Rd, Hudson, OH 44236).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hawken School (Gates Mills, OH), Western Reserve Academy, (Hudson, OH), or Lafayette College (Easton, PA).
