He was predeceased by: his father Arlo McKinley; his brother Fredrick McKinley; and his stepfather Thomas "Tag" Hurley. He is survived by: his mother Rose Marie McKinley Hurley (Danner); his wife Janet S. McKinley (VanTuinen); his children, Jerod McKinley, Jordan McKinley (Peggy) and Holly McKinley (Mike Toudle, Jr.); his grandchildren, Tyler Harper, Seth Harper, Nathaniel McKinley and Tru Long; his brother Steve McKinley (Laura); his stepsiblings, Debra McFarland (John), Linda Hurley, Tom Hurley (Denise) and Lori Blankenship; and his brother-in-law Rich VanTuinen (Sonya). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
