He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley O. Smola and Olga J. Smola (Wiedelman). He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Jennings Kauffman; his daughter Victoria Stowe; and his grandchildren, Angela Stowe and Tristan Stowe of Sebring.
