He was predeceased by : his parents, Bishop Medcalf and Shirley Medcalf; and his siblings, Donzella Barnes, Gwendolyn Smith, Leon Hearns, William Locke and Larry Medcalf.

He is survived by : his wife Shelly Renee Medcalf; his children, Tanika Justice (Donald), Eric Dillard, Whitney Medcalf (Josh Howerton) and Glen Lovell Medcalf, II (Andrea); his grandchildren, Aleigha Gemmer (Joe), Payton Justice, Christian Dillard, Adi Dillard, Brooklyn Taylor, Glen Lovell "Trey" Medcalf, III, Mia, Bella and Olivia Medcalf; his stepmother Mozelle Medcalf; his sister Dwan Parker (Albert "Skip"); his siblings-in-law, Julia Hearns, Stacy Murray-Medcalf and Raymond Smith; his aunts, Jean Hearns, Thelma Hughes and Patricia Madison (Cortez); and his uncle Elder Joe Hairston. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
