She was predeceased by: her son Kenneth Robert Long; her grandsons, Eric Allen Curry and Brian Keith Long; her parents, Freeland Parsons and Myrtle Edebuttel; her stepfather Augustine Edebuttel; her sister Carolyn; her brother-in-law Orville Ryan; her parents-in-law, Chauncy Long and Nellie Long; and her son-in-law Robert Newhart.
She is survived by: her children, Gwendolyn Newhart, Patricia Dow (Ron), Emmett Jr. Long (Brenda), Rebecca Dalton (Ricie) and Phyllis Smathers (Jerry Mauler); and her siblings, Bobby Gene Parsons (Wanda Jean), Cub Scouts and Grange.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Geri's name may be made to the Diabetes Foundation or Holzer Hospice 100 Jackson Pike, Gallipolis, Ohio 45631.
