It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John T. Jarvis of Jackson, Ohio, born in McArthur, Ohio, who passed away on January 4, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Alfred and Laura Jarvis (Wortman); the mother of his children Glenna Eileen Jarvis (Miller); his grandchild Heaven; his siblings, Charles Robert, George Francis, Emmett Clyde, William Lawrence, Cora Elizabeth Turner and Faye Lucille Alexander; and his nephew Harry Dale Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Jarvis (Bostic); his children, Donna Lynn Jarvis Miller (Chris) of Alexandria, VA., Earl Thomas Jarvis (Pam) of Ray, Janell Lucille Thompson (Dan) of McArthur, Kenneth Alfred Jarvis (Linda) of Jackson and Ruth Laureen Jarvis; his grandchildren, Ross Miller (Debbie), Adam Jarvis (Scarlet), Danielle Ramage (Tom), Hannah Thompson, Chad Cordial (Lauren) and Rachael Brewer (Josh); his great grandchildren, Katie, Ryan, Julie Miller, Ella, Sadie, Meredith Jarvis, Isaac, Clara, Lucas Ramage, Skylar, Chase Cordial and Anderson Kace Brewer; and his sister Rose Ann Bobo (Jarvis). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and "adopted" children who considered him dad.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Vinton County 4-H Council.
