It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard J. Zyla of Jackson, Ohio, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on July 24, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Zyla and Bernice Zyla; and his siblings, Joseph Zyla and Diane Bolda. He is survived by: his wife Bette Boyd; his children, Nancy Platek (Paul) and Richard D. Zyla; his grandchildren, Samantha Platek, Zachary Zyla, Daniel Platek and Victoria Zyla; his brothers, Charles and Timothy Zyla; and his brother-in-law William Boyd. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
