He was predeceased by: his father Eugene H. Render. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Render (Bracken); his son Joseph Render; his mother Emma Mae Ison (Diamond); his brother David Render (Karen); and his aunts, Sylvia Walters and Judy Wallen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
