She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaspar Koi and Barbara Koi (Halme); her son Gregory Gates; her granddaughter Natasha Urbank; and her siblings, Zoltan Koi, Ernie Koi, Barbara Paquin, Margaret Koi and Irene Koi.
She is survived by: her husband Duane W. Gates; her children, Gloria Santee (Ray) of Virginia Beach, VA, Herman Urbank Jr (Nina), Douglas Urbank (Deborah) of Cortland, Kim Gates of Austinburg Twp and Nancie Welton (Daniel) of Tucson, AZ; and her sisters, Esther Armstrong of Ashtabula and Rose Beardow of Saybrook Twp. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
