He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry McCarty and Pauline Bunting McCarty; his daughter Yvonne Bock; and his sister Wanda Elmer. He is survived by: his wife Janet Blanton McCarty; his son David McCarty (April); his sisters, Peggy Swartz of Olympia, KY and Deloris Lafferty of Inez, KY; his grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, Pierce, Gabriella McCarty, Travis Huffman (Vicki) and Heath Maxie (Jenna); his great grandchildren, Trenton Huffman and Cooper Maxie; and his siblings' children, Debbie Preece, Garry Lafferty, Larry Lafferty, Dr. Lon Lafferty, Randy Lafferty, Scott Swartz, Mike Swartz, Tamie Cameron, Mark Swartz, Chris Swartz and Karen Praise.
