He was predeceased by : his stepfather John Merle Baker; his sisters, Roberta Putt and Jackie Hartley; his stepsister Jo Anne Sabine; and his stepson John Bell.

He is survived by : his wife Janet Bell (Mattox); and his stepsister Margaret Boardman. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
