He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Sloan and Maudie Sloan (Jesse); his former wife Sharon D. Brotherwood; his daughter Ruth Ann Sloan; and his siblings, Orie Grandstaff and Roger Elsner.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen J. Kline-Sloan (Paige); his children, Cheri Scheer (Randy) of New Bremen, Robert Sloan-Anderson (Ron) of Dayton, Donna Sloan of Greenville, Bonnie Rhoads of Minster, Barbara Bonifiglio (Dan) of Maineville, OH and David Sloan (Kim Bunch) of Montra; his stepchildren, Kenneth Kline (Melissa) of Ansonia, Melissa Pickrell (Ron) of Celina and Jo-Ellen Litmer (Billy) of Celina; his daughter Beth Shroyer; and his siblings, Carl Sloan of Sidney, Dorothy Case (Carl) of Botkins, Charlotte Sharp of Sidney, Rebecca Nason (Aaron) of Anna and Daniel Elsner (Karen) of Covington.
The family requests that memorial contributions in Charlie's name be made to the Kettlersville-Van Buren Twp.
