He was predeceased by: his wife Lila Swetnam; and his parents, Frank L. Swetnam and Gertrude Florence Swetnam. He is survived by: his children, Randy (Sharon), Richard (Vicki), Linda Ridgely (Roger) and Brenda Wolpert; and his nephew Jack Fleming. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
