He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Garrod and Madalyn Anglemyer Garrod; his wife Deborah Jean Hinten-Garrod; and his siblings, Donna Jean Kannal, George, Kenneth and David Garrod.
He is survived by: his close friends, Corey Creamer (Abbey Minamyer) and Vivi Minamyer-Creamer of Leetonia; his sons, Derek and Drew Garrod; and his sister Sharon Crabill (Bill) of Columbiana. He is also survived by spouses and several grandchildren.
