She was predeceased by: her parents, Patric Bell and Estella Schindler; and her sister Mary Githens (Rex). She is survived by: her son Doug Vorhes (Nancy); her stepson Robert G. Vorhes (Linda); and her grandchildren, Stacey VanFleet (Jeremy), Nicholas Vorhes and Michelle Shoffstall (Matt) of Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to family or to the Auglaize County Humane Society.
