With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernice I. Laviness (Lima, Ohio), who passed away on December 9, 2018 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son William Neal LaViness; her son-in-law Wayne Fark; her siblings, Thelma A. Cooper, Madalyn Whitacre, Henry, Harry, James and Joseph Whitacre; and her grandson Robert Neal Fark.
She is survived by: her parents, Sylvenus E. Whitacre and Cleda M. Whitacre (Zeigler); her spouse Melvin N. LaViness; and her daughters, Ardythe Ann Fark of Lima, Karen Kay McMonigle (Kevin) of Franklin, OH and Cheryl S. Fisher (Earl) of Lima. She is also survived by her seventeen grandchildren; her thirty-nine great-grandchildren; her twenty-two great-great-grandchildren; her sister Jennielee (Les) Scott of Batavia, OH; numerous nieces and nephews.
