She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Woodley and Maude Woodley (Jones); her husband Julius Alfred Upthegrove; her daughters, Ronda Dee and Wanda Lee Upthegrove; her siblings, Dorothy Smith, Haskell Woodley, Donald Woodley, Norman Woodley, Clifford Woodley and Jesse Woodley; and her brother-in-law Franklin Upthegrove (Jean).
She is survived by: her children, Wendell Upthegrove, DeWayne Upthegrove, Michael Upthegrove (Delores), Judy Sanders (Lindsey), Janelle Wilson, Joan Garcia and Jennifer Williams (Bennie Jr.); her siblings, Willis Woodley, Ruth Ann Ward, Stella Clark and Barbara Stewart; and her brother-in-law David Upthegrove (Caroline). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID, Bernice's services will be live-streamed on the Hanneman-Siferd Funeral Home Facebook page. Because of Covid-19, repass dinner will follow after services to close family and friends at the Hanneman-Siferd Funeral Home.
