He was predeceased by: his parents, Gale E. Spangler and Mildred Blanche Spangler (Stober); his husband George R. "Dick" Hastings; and his sister-in-law Melissa Hastings. He is survived by: his daughters, Anne Bowman (Ron) of Lima and Kathryn Lipsitz (Jon) of San Ramon, CA; his grandchildren, Jennifer Anne Allgire (Shawn) of Bluffton, Brittany Nichole Powell (Ryan) of Lima, Zachary Tanner Lipsitz of Lexington, KY and Max Lipsitz of San Ramon, CA; his great grandchildren, Brantley and Bryson Allgire; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret "Peg" Crawford and John Hastings.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or The Meadows of Delphos.
