He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Gibson and Stelleen Rife Gibson; his mother-in-law Virginia Mae Stoepfel; and his siblings, Roger, Liggie, Kenneth Ray, Rickie, Ella Jane, Alleen, Sharon, Vergie Gipson and German Shepherd Max.
He is survived by: his siblings, Kelcie Gibson (Kay) of Lima, James E. Gibson of Lima, Marlene Gibson of Lima, Sally Gipson of Lima, Evelyn Gipson (Charles Smith) of Lima, Linda Gipson of Lima, Donnie Lewis of Lima and Mildred Gipson of Lima. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home to help with services.
