He is survived by : his parents, Ruth Shaw (Hawkins) and Paul Shaw; his spouse Robbin Ella Courtney; his children, Julie Susan Kingery (Jeff) of Deshler, Danny Lee Poland, II (Missy Hoenie) of Van Wert and Robert Victor Poland (Brittney Dilworth) of Pandora; and his siblings, John E. Shaw (Melissa) of Lima, James Shaw (Sharon) of Lima and Sue Diller (Armin) of Lafayette. He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
