He was predeceased by: his parents, George Fenton and Clara Fenton (Hibner); his former wife Elizabeth "Jane" Fenton; his stepson Michael Holten; his siblings, Eddie Fenton, Harold Fenton, Myrtle Smith and Bernice Boyed; and his grandson Caleb Woeber.
He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judy" Fenton of Lima, OH; his children, Sally Golden (Jeffrey) of Monroe, MI, Dean Fenton, Jr. (Sharon) of Cridersville, OH, Jennifer DePoy (Michael) of Ft. Wayne, IN and David Fenton (Shelly) of Spencerville, OH; his stepchildren, Douglas Holten, Jackee Neal of Lima, OH, Lisa Laurent (Michael) of Gahnna, OH, John Staup (Rosa) and Joe Staup of Columbus City, IN; and his brother Donald Fenton (Rosie) of Grand Island, NE. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
