He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward B. Crist and Margaret L. Crist (Hart); his wife Betty M. Crist (Ricker); his children, Angela Crist, Alberta Wireman and Benton Crist; his grandson Edward Woods; and his brother Larry Crist.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Woods (Dale) of Lima, Tammy Faye Crist of Lima and Edward William Crist Jr. (Gina) of Elida; and his siblings, Dave Crist (Ola) of Spencerville, Claude Crist of Harrod, Shirley Crist of St. Marys, Sandy Roller of Findlay and Tammy Crist (Trish) of Findlay. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
