He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Foust and Dorothy Foust (Allen); his daughter Lori Adkins (Foust); and his father-in-law Roy Benson. He is survived by: his wife Reida Foust of Lima, OH; his children, Reid Foust (Kelly) of Bluffton, OH and Allen Foust (Christina "Tina") of Upper Sandusky, OH; his siblings, Patricia "Patty" Foust of Lima, OH and Mike Foust (Pat) of Port St; his grandchildren, Justin, Jacob, Matt Foust of Bluffton, OH, Aubrey Saum (David) of Otisville, MI, Kayla Parojinog (Pete) of Colorado Springs, CO, Weston Foust, Jon Keysor of Lima, OH, Raymond Plescher of Broaddus, TX and Cheyenne Adkins of Broaddus, TX; his great grandchildren, Jayden and Jocelyn Foust; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Hanes (Coffee) of Broaddus, TX and Shirley Parker (Riki) of Broaddus, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“I remember Allen and myself being just young teenagers joining pony league baseball, we had a coach but no assistant coaches Sonny without hesitation and no baseball experience LOL said I’ll help, One day after school Sonny set up several little training stations to help with throwing, and batting. What a wonderful man,always willing to help, didn’t matter what he had to do he found time to help, putting everyone else before himself. If I remember correctly he loaded us up in a big red ford Bronco and drove us all over the county for practice and games. What a wonderful memory one i’m so happy is still with me. I’m sure heaven is getting a good dose of John Wayne movies right now. God Bless you Sonny, you are loved and will be missed.”
