He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Neidig and Cora Margaret Stettler Kaufman. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Vess; and his children, Kurt Kaufman of Lima, Peter Kaufman, Phillip Kauffman and Robin Kaufman of Lima.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Noon Optimist.
