He is survived by: his children, Juan Cortez (Christina) of Cridersville, Jamie Cortez of Lima, Martha Hill (Rusty) of Lima and Monica Cortez (Krystalyn) of Cridersville; his grandchildren, Derek Mayer, Joshua Mayer (Lori), Justin Cortez, Ashley Cortez, Erin Cortez, Brittany Cortez and Brooke Cortez; his great grandchildren, Abigail Mayer, Teagan Johnson, Maelyn Tuttle, Lola Mayer, Caylee Mayer, Preston Simmonet and Serenity Miller; and his siblings, Alfredo Cortez (Blanca) of Laredo, TX and Maria Furr.
