He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion F. Spencer and Regina M. Brown Spencer. He is survived by: his siblings, David Spencer of Indiana, Joan Centeno (David) of Lima, William Spencer (Rita) of Lima, Elizabeth Miller (Doug) of Bluffton, Patricia Gootee of Spencerville and Gregory Spencer of Utah. He is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews, and 35 great nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
