She was predeceased by: her father Jessie Smith; her husband James Foster; her daughter Bobbi Smith; her mother Earnestine Ricks Smith (Ricks); and her siblings, Jessie Smith, Arthur Smith, Ben Smith, Cooper Smith, Sr., Willie Smith Sr., Nathan Smith, Robert Smith, Earnest "Pete" Smith, Arbe Maddings, Rosie Smith, Mariah Horrison, Emma May and Evelyn Parks.

She is survived by: her niece Louise Phillips; her goddaughter Monica Hogans (Douglas) of Tampa Bay, Florida.; and also James L. Smith (Mary). She is also survived by great grandchildren.
