He was predeceased by: his parents, Kash Salyers and Millie Lindon Salyers; and his siblings, Jim, Donald, Melvin, George, Earl and Lulamae.

He is survived by: his wife Vivian Sue Tippie; his children, Brittany, Dave, Tom, Rob, Michelle and Steve; and his siblings, PJ, Johnny, Drerrick, Bill and Marge. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
