He was predeceased by: his sisters, Karen Bishop and JoAnne Gaskin. He is survived by: his parents, Robert A. and YeVonne Cavinder (Long); his children, Brandy Parrish, Jeff Cavinder, David Cavinder, Johnnie Cavinder and Shane Cavinder; and his brothers, Robin Cavinder (Sharon), Wapakoneta, Robert A. Cavinder, Mansfield and Larry Huber. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren.
