He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred "Hoppy" and Nora DeWitt (Height); his wife Julia DeWitt (Wilson); his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Dewitt, Vicky DeWitt and Lloyd DeWitt; and his siblings-in-law, William Bagley and Tammy Dewitt.

He is survived by: his siblings, JuliaMary Hall of Ada, OH, Loretta Wehner (Ben) of Wapakoneta, OH, Ronald "Ron" Dewitt of Lima, OH, Patricia "Pat" Bagley of Lima, OH, William "Bill" DeWitt of Lima, OH and Donald "Don" DeWitt (Lou) of Mcguffy, OH. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
