He was predeceased by: his daughter Andrea D. Cheney; his grandparents, Cecil F. Hartman, Eleanor "MoMo" Hartman, Ralph Cheney and Frances Cheney; his brother Phillip D. Cheney; and his brother-in-law David E. Gossard.
He is survived by: his wife Susan K. Cheney of Lima; his parents, Harold E. Cheney and Norma L. Cheney (Hartman) of Lima; his sons, David R. Cheney (Katie A. Elvington) of Cornelius, NC and Daniel A. Cheney (Hayley M. Freytag) of Lima; his grandchildren, Nora D. Cheney, Nolan D. Cheney and Emory T. Cheney; his sister Rebecca Lee Cheney; and his brother-in-law Larry Gossard (Leslieann).
