With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Jean Bates (Lima, Ohio), who passed away on November 26, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Brunn and Mabel Brunn of Avon Lake; her husband George Del Bates; her stepson Jonathan Bates of San Diego, CA.; her grandson Egan McCartney Bates; her sister Janet Eiben; and her brothers-in-law, Verne Bates, Donald Bates (Sara) and Darrel Rook.
She is survived by: her sons, Tim Bates (Susan) of Seattle, WA and Dan (Ellen) of Nevada City, CA; her grandchildren, Kelvin Bates and Eileen Bates; her brother John Brunn (Pat) of Michigan; her brother-in-law Perry Eiben of Avon Lake; and her sibling's children, Shirley Entinghe (Jim) of Lima, Todd Eiben (Brenda) of Beachwood, Curtis Brunn, Matthew Brunn (Tina) and Pam Brunn of Michigan.
Memorial contributions can be made to Lakewood United Methodist Church or an animal-based cause of the donor's choosing.
