With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steve Gipson (Lima, Ohio), born in Jackson, Michigan, who passed away on July 26, 2019 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jefferson and Nannie Gipson (McPherson); and his siblings, Warrick Gipson, Raymond Gipson, William "Bill" Gipson, Bryson "Blackie" Gipson, George "Whitey" Gipson, Danny Gipson, Russell Gipson, Mary "Marthie" Bailey, Irene Montague, Annie Morlock and Erma Mae Perkins.

He is survived by: his children, Evette Vititoe (Charles) of Kansas City, KS, Steven Gipson (Mary) of Kansas City, KS, Connie Collins (David) of Radcliff, KY, Erma VanMeter (Gregg) of Lima, OH, Jeffery Gipson (Heather) of Kansas City, KS, Sheila Van Meter (John) of Lima, OH, Hurshel Gipson (Amanda) of Lima, OH, Tony Gipson (Tonya) of Lima, OH, Todd Gipson of Lima, OH, William Black (Chaundra) of Lake Elsinore, CA, Mark Slone (Cathy) of Union City, MI, Roger Saylor of Lima, OH, Joannie Slone of Wayland, MI, Jessie Saylor (Aimee) of Shawnee, KS, Damon Hornung (Dana) of Richmond Hill, GA and Justin Hornung of Knoxville, TN; and his brothers, Gabriel Gipson (Kathryn) of Leslie, MI and Earn Gipson of Lima, OH.. He is also survived by 43 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
