He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Dale and Elizabeth Ann Dishman Wells. He is survived by: his daughter Julia K. Wells of Lima; his sisters, Rebecca Boutwell (Timothy), Tammy Sockrider (James), Judy Brickman (Thomas), Lynette Walters (Joel), Amy Jo Harmon and Jennifer Morgan; and his granddaughter Charlotte Wells. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Bayliff & Son to help cover expenses.
