He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Cheryl Shellenbarger; and his siblings, Wilbur Shellenbarger, Roland Shellenbarger, Phillip Shellenbarger and Margery Marquart.
He is survived by: his spouse Ruth E. Rettig; his children, Eric Shellenbarger (Carolyn) of Lima, Keith Shellenbarger of Columbus and Linda Shellenbarger of Ada; his grandchildren, Rebecca Baumgartner (Timothy), Rachel Noonan (Philip), Daniel Shellenbarger, Lydia Shellenbarger, Jennifer Harnish (Peter) and Joseph Shellenbarger; his great grandchildren, Rose, Abigail and Sophia; and his brother William Shellenbarger of Perrysburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
