She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Simpson and Clara Simpson (Jackson); her spouse Jerry Altstaetter; and her brothers, Charles Simpson, Hiram Simpson, Bill Simpson and Benny Simpson.

She is survived by: her children, Mark Altstaetter (Susan) and Marcia Klausing; her granddaughters, Jennifer Chiles, Sarah Klausing (Matt Umholtz), Kathryn Savage (Hunter) and Anne Altstaetter (Luke Wood); her great grandchildren, Mason, Miley, Madison, Hannah, Brody, Lily, Griffin, Noah and Ella; and her sister Juanita Dunson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
