He was predeceased by: his parents, Tate and Ruby Thompson, Sr. (Hollis); his daughter Kimberly L. Thompson; and his brothers, Tate Thompson, Jr., L. C. Thompson and Tommy Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Evohn; his children, Demetrius Thompson, Sr. (Tanya) of Jacksonville, FL., Lavon Thompson-Ajah (Tony) of Dallas, TX and Yolonda Bailey (Roger) of Lima; and his daughter-in-law Jackie Thompson. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
